Alright, so, I've been considering a new AEG for my use, and I won't go into the details here, but the G36 came up as a possibility. At the same time, I've been building Warhammer 40000 models, so I thought about maybe making an Airsoft 'boltgun,' as it is called. So, right now, I'm wondering, besides the obvious differences, if the G36C looks the closest to the Boltgun. When I've got the gun I want to use for it selected, I'll move onto the actual construction of the gun. I'm thinking I'll have to do a bit of cutting down on the gun, and fabricate a few extra parts. Right now I'm just at the planning stage though, so it would be a bit before any significant results came from the project. At this stage, I simply want some input on what gun looks the closest, and what might be best to use to build the new parts I'd have to add on.

Yeah, the G36 is probably he closest rifle. I think you should have the barrel where that flashlight is on top, and somehow put a GL where the barrel is. If you don't want to do that then probably just chop up a G36 like you said.

Well, the plan I've been working on wouldn't mess up the barrel at all. I'd PVC pipe around the barrel, making it look like that.
Edit:Tomorrow I'm going to stop by the mall and look at the G36es they have there, if they have a C I may pick it up.

*bump* Have you made any progress yet, in ideas or construction? BTW, I just got a Dremel, which is awesome, maybe you could use it a bit for modding.

Progress - The design is being layed out, and I'm working on the overall structure of the gun.

Yeah, it is. It's the standard gun for Space Marines. And I've been there as well, and I know what you're talking about, yeah.

Sweet idea, mate. An airsoft version of spacie boltgun.
By the way, the last image on your signature (the girl in army fatigues and bikini holding a firearm), do you know what game she is from (and her name if she has one)?
P.s. I am new here.
