I tried to play it on one of those new game systems. I didn't do very well. The whole two joysticks on the controller thing really screwed me up. I am about to get it for the PC though. Found a warehouse here where I can buy it for $20

I've heard of the games, but haven't played any. How are they? As far as books, I've read SC: Operation Barracuda and am halfway through SC: Checkmate (thanks for letting me borrow them, CAC006). They're very well written books, and keep you on your toes. I wish there were more than just 3 in the series.

I've played all the Splinter Cell games. Not much time on Pandora Tomorrow or Chaos Theory, but enough to gauge how well Double Agent is. They're really realistic when it comes to being stealthy and you need to think. With Double Agent, you have the "choice" of helping the NSA or helping the JBA, which are essentially the terrorists. Why the quotes around "Choice"? Because you get some objectives that fill your "Trust meter" for the NSA, and others for the JBA. If the trust meter hits zero you fail the game, and most actions reduce one side's trust while raising the other's. So as much as the game wants you to think it's all in your hands, you still have to generally follow what they make you do. The game is really fun regardless of that fact though.

I just heard they're planning on making a Splinter Cell movie. It probably won't be out until 2010 though...

The Splinter Cell franchise has become a benchmark in the stealth genre. I have played all of the games and I personnally think Chaos Theory was the best. The games offer a very easy way to control your character, yet it takes time to master the art of stealth gameplay. I really enjoy all the games stories, but also the character flaws in main characters like Sam Fisher and Lambert. The game also is extremely realistic in the gear you take and the way in which you implement them. I also think that the game is one of the best games released by Ubisoft. The books I thought didn't live up to Clancy standards, but most sub books written under his name are'nt very good.

splinter cell movie won't have Ubisoft making the movie there the game makers they may throw in some money to sponcer it but there not giving the whole lot to it. Where as Warner Brothers and Microsoft came together to try and make halo the movie then like i said they ran out of money for the making of that movie cuse theres so many special effects and props to make this movie.
