I know that its been out for awhile now and all but has anyone played the call of duty games. Either Call of Duty: Finest Hour or Call of Duty: Big Red One. I think its a great game to play it has like military channel cuts in it and other things in WWII that i thought were very interesting. Also the new Call of Duty, Call of Duty 3, its more realistic like hiding behind a box you will get shot like in real life if you were getting shot at and you ran behind something it would eventually get threw and hit you. I heard there was a co-op on this one were as the other 2 did not. and many other things. I'm getting Call of Duty: 3 for my Nintendo Wii. I was just woundering what everyone else thought of the game.

I had COD: FH for my Gamecube. It was a decent game. One part of it I liked was the shellshock factor when an explosive goes off near you, not too many games had that at the time (most probably do now).

I've owned or do own Cod Finest Hour, Big red one, CoD2 and am getting CoD3. It is a good franchise showing the war from all standpoints, yet World War Two is getting old. I want innovation like Civil War that coming out.
The game does a good job of rendering environments, but it's nothing new. The guns are well modeled, as are the sodiers themselves. There is a ton pof awesome particle affects to. Shellshock isn't used in many games though because itoften just annoys people. I thought it was ok, but I would much rather have my screen blur for a second and a simulated ringing of the ears, like rainbow six vegas

Civil War a nation divided is already out. You play as both sides and there is a ton of melee combat. World War 1 would be dull though, it was all trench. Vietnam if done right could be fun, as could Korea. Or they could just do the untouched Pacific theatre of WWII

It's not necessarily all WWII games that are getting old, it's just that 90% of them focus on the beginning of WWII, and on the European front. I think video game makers could spice things up by making more Pacific front games, and games focusing on later parts of the war- like the Battle of the Bulge, Operation Market Garden, and maybe a bit on the Russian and African fronts too. Granted COD: FH has parts of it in Africa and Russia, that's just a part of one game. But a game about Korea or Vietnam would indeed be good, I agree.

Africa, Russia and many other trademark battles are in games, like red orchestra, all COD games, and various air combat games. Vietnam was done, but it's hard to make an engaging jungle combat game. It can be done though. WWI would suck though. It was all trench warfare. Korea could be done, or now. We are at war now and that could be a backdrop.
Killzone was OK, but futuristic scifi games are not exactly in small numbers either.

I agree. But if you know anything about Korea, it will baisicly be WWII with aisians as enimies. Vietnam is not popular in this country as is the war on terror.
