I know its a flight simulator but it is one of the best aside from Microsoft Combat Simulator. The graphics arent the greatest but it is six years old. The game has several modes, early war you only get planes around from 1939-42. Midwar you only get planes from 1942-43. Late war is self explanatory, you get everything. There are almost sixty planes in this game from fighters to carrier bombers to high altidude bombers to attack planes. There are Troop transports, boats, tanks, jeeps, AA everything. When you take damage you see the holes on the wing or in the canopy. Sometimes you even see them in yourself, when your blood splatters on the canopy. It takes a little practice but when you get used to it, you can do really well. The objective is to take all the bases on the map. There are 3 factions, bishops(me), knights, and rooks. To take a base, you have to destroy the town, take out the AA, make sure there hangars are destroued, and drop troops on the base.
One thing cool about the game is every airplane i nthe sky is controlled by another person, making the kills seem twice as worth it. The only exception to this is when you pick a heavy bomber, you get two wingmen, you can change to these if you are killed thoug. There are carriers to, the team controls where they go. Simulation wise it is unbelievable, like I said, bullet holes to your plane, your wings can rip off if you do something you shouldnt. This depends on the plane. You can do a barrel roll easy on a P51 but on a B17 the wings come clean off. You can look around tha canopy at the instruments. You can bail out and see yoru parachute and .45 pistol. The radio chatter is garbled to sound more authentic. You can still hear what they are saying but it sounds like they are on an actual radio. There are no losers on the game either. That parade around and laugh and take up the radio. Most people are really kind. If you put up a good dogfight, they saute you via they typing board. This is an A+ game. One of my favorites
