I love this game. CSS is one of the best multiplayer shooters I've ever played. It essentially plays out as hostage rescue or bomb planting/defusal with Terrorists versus Counter-Terrorists. The game feels very real. Many guns have the same kinds of handling real-world guns have been said to have. Usually, you can be hit twice, maybe three times if you're lucky, before you'll die. Also, depending on the thickness of a wall, bullets can possibly pierce through them. Kevlar behaves like real Kevlar as well. Usually your Kevlar won't absorb any rifle damage, but it will absorb some small amounts of pistol and frag damage, but your health will still be damaged. Overall, I love this game, and would reccomend it to anyone who plays the computer and can run it.

Yeah, I play this sometimes when I'm over at your house. I'd also recommend it if you like intense shooter games or CQB games. The details are extremely precise, down to shell casings falling out of your gun. It's too bad my comp won't run it though...I'm looking around for a new one, my current one's getting pretty old and worn.

So, Valve (the people behind Steam) did some absolutely wonderful deeds to "better" CSS. The radar has gone from a green circle that showed you elevation of teammates to a MINIMAP that gives you everything you could ever need. The guy with the bomb gets a little bomb icon on the minimap. The hostages on hostage rescue maps show up and change colour if they're following you. The bombsites are labelled on the radar. There is no difference between newbs and people who have played for years now, because the minimap always tells you what the map looks like, you never have to find out for yourself. On top of that, they made the AK-47 do 5.56-style damage, as in 24 from a chestshot as opposed to the previous 52-54. This means the AK-47 is a pointless weapon now because it has horrid accuracy in exchange for horrid damage.
My rant is now over, you can all return to your normal lives.

That's really stupid, when I get it we should create a band of followers and protest.

Well I just got CSS last week. It's really addicting, especially after you get the hang of it. I'd recommend it for the realism and over time it probably improves reaction time (from all the sudden gunfights that occur in it).

Well yeah, that's rather off topic, but I guess it was just a choice of real-world performability. I'd prefer a gun that I know will shoot over a gun that can brag about super distance. Really took a lot of getting used to though, that change in CSS. I'm finally back in the groove.
