Yeah, I've read a tad about it on a gun website. It's pretty neat but looks rather bulky. Why do you ask, was it on Future Weapons or something?

The XM29 was cancelled a year ago after an incident involving the death of several marines. When the grenade launcher was set to explode at 40 meters, it exploded at 4. The idea of a camera on a weapon is not that new. As early as 1999, they were putting cameras on to M4s, it's not new technology. The grenade launcher was cool, but to much potential for collateral damage.

I dont mean to come off rude, but I know exactly what gun your talking about. It's an rudementary M8 mounted with the state of the art grenade launcher and camera system. It was developed with the future force program in 2000. It was recently cancelled yet has appeared in numerous video games, including Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, Soldier of Fortune and I'm sure several others. There is a picture of it at Wikipedia.com

If it's so recent and "state-of-the-art", then why does it look like something I'd expect out of a cheezy 80's sci-fi movie? You'd think engineers could make something much more appealing...

The gun is still cancelled, there is no need for it now with the new Future Force Warrior system coming out.
