Hello all, I have been looking into the TM FAMAS and was wondering if it is any good. I would like info like: what size is the plug, is the hi cap mag any good, have you ever needed the bipod. I am the medic for CAC, so therefore i think it might get tangled in my aid bag.

Large plug size, don't know much about the hicap, don't really have enough experience to answer the bipod question, but it's nice to have there. It shouldn't get tangled, it's a nice sleek gun. Demo has one of these though, he'd be able to tell you more.

The hicap is decent, I'm not a fan of it though. I'd go for the midcaps, I have two and I've used them a lot, never had any real problem. The bipod is helpful in any sort of defence situation where you're not planning on moving. If you don't want it, though, you can buy the FA-MAS F2, which has a handguard and sling mounts instead of a bipod. That's another item of note, the F1 has no forward sling mount. You can, however, use a guitar strap as one if you have a spare.
